You asked for it! Underwear Kits are pre-packaged to go along with the Craftsy class, Sewing Panties. It’s a complete kit for your sewing pleasure. The Rayon Fabric Underwear Kit includes 60 centimetres of our luxurious Rayon Print Fabric with Spandex and your colour choice of Lingerie Elastic or Plush Waistband Elastic. This kit is made specifically for our underwear patterns so you’ll have enough material for one pair for hip sizes 32″-54″ (81-137 cm). We are now offering two options of elastic depending on if you want to make men’s and woman’s underwear.

Please be sure to pick the correct elastic for the pattern you are planning to make. The Plush Waistband Elastic is needed for the Men’s Underwear and can be used on the other patterns for an exposed elastic waistband, but you will still need Lingerie elastic for the legs of the Cheryl and Veronica patterns. And the Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica patterns all use the Lingerie Elastic.

Rayon Fabric

These luxurious Rayon Prints fabric with Spandex drapes so nicely.  So well, in fact, it feels almost liquid in your hands! Because it is derived from a natural plant source, it is officially called rayon. However, it features the properties of any natural fibre – it is warm in winter and cool in summer, to help regulate your body temperature. Beverly Johnson uses Rayon Prints Fabric for some of the knit tops she wears on the Craftsy set!

The Rayon Prints work well as a cover for foam cups or as a pocket for the prosthesis. Customers use this ultra-soft fabric for panties, bralettes, camisoles, tank tops, t-shirts, and men’s underwear. This fabric is lightweight and drapes extremely well. Once you try it, it will become a staple in your stash!

95% rayon and 5% spandex with a good stretch in one direction and mechanical give in the other direction. 58-60 inches wide (145-150 cm) This fabric WILL shrink so please pre-wash it. Some people claim that Rayon is difficult to work with. Not so…IF you spray it with spray starch before you cut. Simply spray the un-cut fabric and give it a press. The fabric will not curl and you will be able to sew it quite easily.
