Yet, all of them can be made from only two basic patterns – the Brief and the Boy Short. You can easily draft either of these basic styles with only four body measurements. Even if you have never drafted anything before now, the panty draft is easier than you think. You will learn about working with stretch fabrics and how to calculate the negative ease necessary to make a well-fitting panty.

The draft itself is relatively quick to make. Once you add the seam allowances and marking the DoGS, you can start to sew. If you have never sewn with stretch knits before, you will appreciate the straightforward instructions shared by the author. Finish the seams with either zig-zag stitches or a serger and finish the elastics with your choice of four different stitches.

Once you make the first pair, you will fit them and alter areas of concern. Again, the Make & Fit Panties Book includes all of the fitting tips you are likely to need. Learn to alter the pattern for a protruding bum, panniculus, or larger tummy. Your new panties should fit like a glove.
