Chantilly Lace Fabric

Our popular Chantilly Lace Fabric is a sheer, allover lace fabric. This fabric is used for upper and lower bra cups, as well as the front frame. This lace is very soft and is also great for other lingerie. There is a central floral motif with a delicate leaf circling the flower.

The Chantilly Rigid Lace Fabric is approximately 60″ (150 cm) in width, with very little stretch. The fabric is available in 5 lovely colours, including off-white, ivory, beige, pink and black. Our customers like this lace, it is sexy without being too revealing! If you prefer, you can add a coloured fabric under the lace to add a further dimension to your sewing project.

One of the most beautiful applications for the Chantilly Lace fabric is as a fabric overlay over foam cups. The lace works well with either cut and sew foam or pre-formed foam cups. The colour of the foam peeks through the negative space in the Chantilly lace. This creates a wonderful, sometimes unexpected secondary colour tone within the garment. In fact, we often audition several foam colours before we decide on which one to use!
