FR-405.98 – Scuba Crepe Print Fabric Black

Description

Our Scuba Crepe Print fabric with a beautiful floral design on a black background has a front texture of the scuba fabric printed with a distinctly “crepe” like feel. The textured crepe fabric gives this material a stylish matte finish. Colour intensity reproduction is bold and lively and details and fine lines are showcased in high quality. Patterns are disrupted when the fabric is stretched, more so on the weft, but the recovery is excellent. Similar to a thin neoprene, this fabric has incredible elasticity, making it wonderfully lively and fun to work with. The scuba crepe has a beautiful drape and returns perfectly to its original shape once relaxed.  With 30% stretch across the grain and 10% vertical stretch, this unique knit is perfect for creating bra cups, bralettes, underwear, knit dresses,  knit apparel,  skirts, pants, unstructured jackets and heavier tops. It’s not just for underwear!

Scuba knit is created using a very fine gauge knitting machine and smooth thread. It also has a slightly spongy quality, similar to what you might see in fabric for wetsuits, but it’s much thinner and more malleable.  It has a lot of body and drapes well.

Colours Available:

All of the Scuba Crepe Print fabrics are 58-60″ (147-150 cm) wide made from 94% Polyester and 6% spandex blend with stretch in the crosswise direction, from selvedge to selvedge. The fabric has a matte finish, perfect for showing off the glorious prints.

Uses:

The Scuba Crepe Print fabric can be used for bra cups for small to medium cups without any lining, and for large cups with a lining such as sheer cup lining behind it. It makes some wonderful and colourful bralettes and panty sets. Customers also use it for lightweight tops, dresses and unstructured jackets.
