FR-396 – Scuba Solid Fabric

Description

Scuba Solid fabric is a lofty double knit fabric of finely spun polyester fibers that create a super smooth hand, low luster sheen and a full-bodied drape. With 30% stretch across the grain and 10% vertical stretch, this unique knit is perfect for creating bra cups, bralettes, underwear, knit dresses,  knit apparel,  skirts, pants, un-structured jackets and heavier tops. It’s not just for underwear!

Scuba knit is created using a very fine gauge knitting machine and smooth thread. It also has a slightly spongy quality, similar to what you might see in a fabric for wetsuits, but it’s much thinner and more malleable.  It has a lot of body, and drapes well.

Colours Available:

All of the Scuba Solid fabrics  are 58-60″ (147-150 cm) wide made from 94% Polyester and 6% spandex blend with stretch in the crosswise direction, from selvedge to selvedge. The fabric has a matte finish, perfect for colour blocking. We currently have five colours: Ecru, Wine, Teal, Navy and Black. Colours may look different depending on the monitor. Please refer the to pantone colour for exactly colour match.

Uses:

The Scuba Solid fabric can be used for bra cups for small to medium cups without any lining, and for large cups with a lining such as sheer cup lining behind it. It makes some wonderful and colourful bralettes and panty sets. Customers also use it for  lightweight tops, dresses and unstructured jackets.

While our Scuba Solid fabric contains no latex (only polyester and spandex) and is labelled latex-free, we cannot guarantee that it has not come into contact with latex products or fibres during its construction or sales process. Those conditions are beyond our control. The fabric itself is latex-free.
