Description
Eurojersey Polyester Swimwear fabric is the perfect blend of polyester and spandex and is the same fabric you see in expensive ready-to-wear swimsuits. The polyester makes the fabric chlorine-resistant, even in public pools with a high chlorine concentration. The spandex makes the fabric recover easily to its original size when it is pulled or stretched. Our Eurojersey Polyester Swimwear fabric is imported from Italy, where everyone is very particular about their swimwear! Customers use this fabric for any type of swimwear, including one-piece tank suits, princess line suits, two-piece suits, tankinis, bikinis, and speedos. The fabric is also used for compression wear, including control top panties and bodyshapers.
All of the colours are suitable for colour blocking swimwear of any kind. We have even chosen several tones in the same colour family so you can do those gradient colour blocked suits you see in ready-to-wear. What colour combinations can you think of to sew up? The sky’s the limit! The fabric is very co-operative during the sewing process. Therefore, making swimwear is an ideal project to start with if you are unsure of handling knits. Why not purchase and watch our Craftsy (now Bluprint) video, Sewing Swimwear so you can sew along with our step-by-step instructions?
Colours Available:
The Eurojersey is 58-60″ (147-150 cm) wide made from 68% Polyester and 32% spandex blend with stretch in both directions. This fabric has a matte finish, perfect for showing off the silhouette and colour blocked details. We have the fabric available in a rainbow of glorious colours. Yes, we know it is more expensive than “regular” swimwear fabrics; however, do remember that it takes very little fabric to make swimwear. This is also a premium product, imported from Italy. Believe us when we say it is worth every penny! Our Eurojersey fabric is conveniently labelled according to the Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors colour chart, in TPX format. Each of our fabric colours is shown with the corresponding TPX Pantone colour code. If you have the Pantone chart, you may check our colours against it for an accurate colour depiction.
