Metal Garter Clips Suspender Clips

Customers making corsets or garter belts, will need a set of Metal Garter Clips Suspender Clips to complete the creation. Garter clips are available in ½” (12 mm) and can be used with our ½” (12 mm) elastic.

Customers using Suspender Clips need to consider the end use of the garment. We generally prefer the metal clips, they are stronger and will last much longer. Yes, they are much more expensive than the plastic variety, but for  garments that are going to be worn often or put under stress, we highly recommend using the metal clips. The silver and gold metal clips are all nickel plated and are available with a clear plastic inner button. The white and black metal clips are nylon coated are available with a clear plastic inner button.  Our customers generally use our 1/2″ (12 mm) Satin Strap Elastic to make garters; however, many of our other strap elastics are also appropriate.

For garments that are going to be worn once in a while and are not going to experience stress, the Plastic Garter Clips will work. Use ½” (12 mm) elastic.

Garter Clips are available in packages of 4 (enough for a garment with 4 garters) or bulk bags of 100 clips (enough for 25 garments with 4 garters each).

Uses:

Our Metal Garter Clips Suspender Clips can be used for any garment that requires a functional clip to attach stockings. Our customers use these clips to make corsets, waist cinchers, garter belts, and merry-widows. Available in ½” (12 mm) width.

In combination with any ½” wide strap elastic, make garters in a variety of metal finishes. Detachable garters can also be made by attaching a loop to the garment and a G-Hook to the garter.
