Needles and Pins

It can be very frustrating to sew with dull needles and pins. Nothing compares to trying to sew fine bra fabric with the wrong needle! Why frustrate yourself or risk ruining your fabric? We carry the best Needles and Pins for bra-making right here. We use these for ourselves in the classes and in our own sewing rooms.

Schmetz Machine Needles:

Stretch Needles – Stretch needles for your machine are essential when you are working with knits that contain spandex fibres. The blunt point on the needle allows it to slip past the fine yarns, rather than pierce them. This prevents skipped stitches or runs in the cloth.

Ballpoint Needles – Ballpoint needles will likely be a mainstay in your bra-making needle drawer. Ballpoint needles have a slightly blunted tip that allows it to slide past the yarns, thus avoiding snags in the fabric or skipped stitches.

Serger and Cover Stitch Needles – Use these hard-to-find needles for the best results in those machines. You won’t believe the difference in the machines when you use the right needles. No more skipped stitches going over bulky seams!
