Pink Passion bra made from our Quartet of fabrics and a Classic Bra

We used our Classic Bra pattern and the Pink passion Quartet to create a stunning Pink passion Bra. Here is the Quartet, which is available with either fuchsia or black findings. We chose the fuchsia findings for our bra. Included in the Quartet is the black poppy lace, black sheer cup lining, fuchsia duoplex and black power net. The bonus for the Quartet is the crystal heart connector, plus a piece of black guipere edging. You can use the Quartet components in any combination or design you choose!

We lowered the front bridge area by 1.25″ , then removed the corresponding amount from the upper cup in order to turn this bra into a demi cup. I wrote a blog post on how to do that in the post about the Ivory and Green Demi Bra from the Craftsy class. You can read about that technique here.

We used some black ribbon we had lying around in the sewing room and the crystal connector to add some bling to the centre front bridge area. I showed you the whole tutorial recently, which you can find by clicking here.

Strap with Lace Detail

Here’s a close-up of the straps. The guipere edging in the quartet co-ordinated very nicely with the poppy lace. it looked like it was made specifically to go with that lace! That rarely happens so we decided to take advantage of it. We made tube straps from the fuchsia duoplex and sewed the edging into the seam. Then when we turned it right side out, we offset the seam to the front. The result was a narrow band of fuchsia running alongside the edging.

The straps are tucked in behind and sewn to the upper cup. But the join wasn’t as pretty as it could have been so we decided to use a bow to dress up the join at the base of the straps. We auditioned the fuchsia bow and found we liked black ones better. Away goes the fuchsia bow for another project, and out came the pair of black bows!. Here’s the finished bra.
