Our strong Corset Lacing Cord is the ideal cord for lacing the back of your corset. This is a braided cord, approximately ¼” in width, made from 100% Polyester. This cord is appropriate for lacing through grommet sizes #00 and up. See our Metal Corset Grommets.

The Corset Lacing Cord is flat and is very strong; it will last through many wearings and will allow you to lace your corset as tight as desired. This cord is of high quality and is used by professional corset-makers. This product is also manufactured in Canada!

The Corset Lacing Cord can also be used for the drawstring in swimwear, particularly men’s swim trunks or even pyjamas. You can cover the cord with fabric to make strong but bulk-free bikini strings, too.

How Much Will I Need?

The average shorter corset or waist cincher will require 5 metres. A full length or longer corset will need 6-7 metres. Please remember, it is not the corset size that determines how much cord you will need, it is the length. The more eyelets you have, the more cord you will need.

How to Use:

To lace-up your corset, you will need to first finish the ends of the Corset Lacing Cord. The cord is made from Polyester, which means that the ends can simply be melted. This seal the ends and allows the cord to be laced through the eyelets. Simply cut the ends of the cord on an angle, with a sharp pair of scissors. This will give you a clean, cut edge. Then, with a lighter, quickly melt the end of the cord, just enough to seal it. Allow it to cool and test to make sure the ends are well sealed. Then lace up your corset!
