Our Heathered Organic Cotton Jersey Fabric is a lightweight, all-cotton single knit. This is similar to our classic Organic Cotton fabric, only with a heathered treatment, which gives the fabric some added visual interest. This fabric is perfect to use for intimate wear, and would be great for a comfortable bralette, pair of panties, or panty gusset; it also works well for garments such as tank tops and T-shirts. For those that are allergic to synthetics (such as polyester, rayon, nylon, or spandex), this fabric was made for you! It is 100% Organic Cotton and is GOTS certified and Oeko-Tex Certified.

We advise washing the fabric before use, as it is 100% cotton and it will shrink 2-3%. Simply wash the fabric in hot water and throw it in the dryer. This will pre-shrink the fabric.

A tip to keep the fabric from curling after pre-shrinking – before washing the Heathered Organic Cotton, serge across the ends of the fabric folded in half. This prevents tangling in the washer or dryer. The serged ends are simply cut off, without wasting much fabric.

Uses:

Women who are highly allergic to synthetics of any kind including sensitivities to polyester, rayon, nylon, or even blends of these fabric with spandex, can use our Heathered Organic Cotton Jersey fabric everyday. The mechanical give runs along the crosswise grain, more so than on the lengthwise grain. We advise customers using this fabric for bra cups to use two layers of the fabric with DoGS opposing – that is with the grain line running at opposite angles to one another.

The Jersey is available in a variety of lovely colours:  Pink with white flecks, Light Blue with white flecks, Oatmeal with light beige flecks, White with grey flecks as well as deep purple heather and a Dark Grey heather.
